Law firm Keller Rohrback Complex Litigation has issued a call to action for Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and Wrangler 4xe hybrid owners that are unable to drive purely in electric mode in cold weather due to an "engineering function."

That function is claimed to be a "fuel and oil refresh mode (FORM)" and designed to keep the engine warm and, as a result, seals and gaskets fully expanded. The belief is that when the engine is cold, fuel can seep into the oil, forcing the direct injection engine to stay on in extremely cold weather.
