In a horrifying turn of events at the 107th Indy 500 on Sunday, the race came to a sudden halt, 15 laps short of the finish, due to a devastating crash that left spectators in shock. During Lap 185, Felix Rosenqvist from Arrow McLaren lost control of his car, colliding with a wall and careening across the track. Unfortunately, Kyle Kirkwood from Andretti Autosport Honda found himself in a challenging situation, unable to avoid Rosenqvist's path while engaged in a battle with Santino Ferruci from A.J. Foyt Racing.

As Kirkwood drove past, his back left tire collided with the front of Rosenqvist's car, propelling the tire perilously over the catch fence. The impact sent Kirkwood's car into a spin, completely losing control and crashing into the safety barrier. The vehicle flipped upside down, sparks flying, as it skidded for a considerable distance. On-board camera footage captured the intense moment when Kirkwood, with his helmet just inches away from the asphalt, opened his visor to assess the situation.
