Toyota Motor North America on Tuesday said it is recalling about 96,000 Corolla Cross crossovers in the U.S. because the front passenger airbag might not deploy, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

The recall covers non-hybrid models from 2022 to 2023.

The automaker recommends no one sit in the front passenger seat until the vehicle is inspected and a repair is completed.
