Many of the major car manufacturers are backing crossovers as the next big thing in the automotive world, and heading the charge is General Motors who’s tipped to release three new crossover models this year. All three vehicles, the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave (pictured), are based on GM’s Lambda architecture and now, Automotive News is reporting that the General is considering adding even more crossovers to its lineup under its Saab and Cadillac labels.

“I’d like to see a nice Cadillac crossover, and I’d like to see a Saab crossover,” said GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz.
