While the Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup seems to tick all the boxes for a luxury EV, it reportedly does not sell well at dealerships. Per Automotive News, Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the US took an average of 82 days to sell the all-electric EQ models in September, causing dismay from dealers themselves.
Compared to rivals, BMW and Audi had a turn rate of 38 days and 46 days, respectively. Meanwhile, the luxury segment average is 57 days. A Mercedes store operator admitted the EQS does not have the same lust factor as gasoline-powered flagship models such as the S-Class.
