The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association organizes the Japan Mobility Show 2023 as the successor of the iconic Tokyo Motor Show, which would have celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2024 if not for this year's retirement.
However, there's a saying: out with the old and in with the new. And JAMA is clearly trying to wipe away the legacy of TMS and forge a new vision for JMS – although with much of the same. That means one thing: concepts. And lots of them – from everywhere. As always, one of the most prolific is Toyota, of course.
The Japanese conglomerate allowed Lexus to express its BEV vision through the newly minted LF-ZC and LF-ZL concepts – a sedan and a crossover-minivan SUV but let's be frank: the spotlight is mainly on Toyota's namesake brand. With days to spare before the press days (October 25 and 26, followed by a special invitation day and general access from October 28 to November 5), the company started churning out one teaser and concept premiere after another.
