Ford came up with the Mustang Dark Horse in late 2022. The model entered production in the spring of 2023, and deliveries started in the fall. Now customers report all kinds of nice surprises delivered with their sports car. The company's CEO, Jim Farley, confirms it with a post on X.
The street-legal Ford Mustang Dark Horse with racing DNA came as a surprise last fall. It is the first new Mustang nameplate since the Bullit was unveiled back in 2001. Ford put the same 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine under the hood, but with a twist. It sports a unique crankshaft and forged piston connecting rods, which are carried over from the sixth-generation Shelby GT 400.
