The fourth member of the Chevrolet Corvette family has been spotted in San Diego, wearing heavy camouflage and disguises to conceal what they are. Of course, this is the upcoming ZR1 'Vette, rumored to arrive with 850-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engines.

Posted to the C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) Facebook group, the prototype trio was spotted wearing manufacturer plates in a McDonald's parking lot. According to the original poster, the test drivers were friendly but remained tight-lipped, as expected from engineers evaluating top-secret projects.

Little is known about the ZR1, but all signs point to it being powered by a turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. This engine, known as the LT7, will sit above the naturally aspirated LT6 that powers the Z06 and, as mentioned, will produce an incredible 850 horses. The motor has already been added to the GM Parts catalog.
