Two years ago, Ram Trucks announced an electric pickup truck with 500 miles of range, with plans to start production in 2024. The amazing Ram 1500 REV has been delayed several times, and at this stage, you can consider it official vaporware. Stellantis has pushed its production to at least 2027, while the range-extended variant Ram 1500 Ramcharger is also delayed until 2026.

Stellantis is the worst offender, with its all-electric and range-extended pickup truck Ram 1500 REV/Ramcharger seeing delay after delay. Stellantis over-hyped the Ram 1500 REV when it unveiled it in 2023, promising 500 miles (800 km) of range. If they felt compelled to promise such an unrealistic range because Tesla also promised 500 miles for the Cybertruck, they miscalculated.
