It's been so long since Rivian first unveiled the R2, with so few new things about it being announced in the meantime, that I kind of almost forgot this electric SUV is coming. With that in mind, I wonder how many of you placed a reservation for one and forgot all about it as well.
The R2 was first presented by the American carmaker in the spring of 2024, more than two years ago. It is only now, though, in June 2026, that Rivian announced the start of the first public customer deliveries and the start of an invitation campaign for reservation holders.
