BMW has a lot on its plate these days, as there are several new models in the making as we speak. One of them will be the range-topping version of the latest i3 Sedan, which will add the M suffix, and will pretty much be an electric alternative to the future M3.
      
We said “alternative” and not “version” because while the two may look somewhat similar, they have nothing in common. They are based on different underpinnings, and while one continue the tradition of the gas-powered sports sedan with tail-happy skills, the other will launch with battery-electric power, and potentially a jaw-dropping amount of power.
