Well, wonder no more, fellow gearhead who has a soft spot for electric Bimmers with vizor-like faces, because this model is now finally alive and kicking. Truth be told, it has been for quite some time, but this is our first encounter with a pre-production tester, and it came courtesy of our man with the cam, who encountered this prototype in Munich, Germany.
 
Despite the camouflage on the front and rear ends, we can see that the BMW i3 Touring has exactly the same face as the i3 Sedan. That’s definitely not a surprise, is it? And neither is back end, either, which features the same taillights, bumper, diffuser, etc. The obvious differences are the longer roofline, larger rear three-quarter windows, and tailgate that opens up into a generous trunk. By the looks of it, the rear window appears to open separately from the tailgate, thus enhancing the car’s practicality.
