I often wonder what goes on inside the heads of automotive designers. Some of the features they come up with are very clever and very useful, while others make me scratch my head.
The case in point is the built in "Selfie Camera" on the 2027 Mini Cooper. The idea is to allow you to post selfies on the internet from inside your car. Really, is that needed? Isn't that a distracted driving thing? Who decided it needed to be connected to the internet?
We all know how lax security is in the automotive sector where hackers have free rein to almost every electronic system. What provisions are in place to protect you and your family from unauthorized spying?
