GM has issued a stern warning to anyone considering repairing one of its ADAS features with anything other than new, genuine parts: do it, and you risk compromising the reliability and safety of those systems.
In a collision position statement issued in late July and spotted by Autobodynews, the automaker said only genuine GM parts belong in collision repairs. That covers radars, cameras, sensors, control modules, wiring, brackets, and mounting hardware.
