The House of the Trident could receive a Chinese infusion by decade's end. Stellantis is reported to be in talks with Chinese tech giant Huawei and Chinese automaker JAC Group over a possible long-term partnership involving the struggling Italian brand, or so claim two sources cited by Reuters.
Said report follows an earlier story from June 2026 over potential talks with two unnamed parties. The cited publication has now put names to both parties, yet nothing has been signed and Stellantis hasn't confirmed anything. The automaker told Reuters that it routinely discusses with companies around the world as part of its normal business, yet Huawei and JAC did not comment.
