Wall Street has lost confidence in Tesla, if we take the analysts' average estimate of only 457,000 deliveries in the third quarter. Tesla-compiled consensus was just a tad higher, at 462,000 units. The real number Tesla reported on October 2 was 486,532 units, about 2% under the Q3 2025 result, but 1.2% more than in the previous quarter.
Tesla appears to have left behind the problems that crippled it in 2024-2025. Buoyed by rising fuel prices, Elon Musk's company surpassed Wall Street expectations for the second quarter in a row. Tesla reported 464.391 units produced and 486.532 delivered in the third quarter. The difference shows that Tesla has basically depleted inventories, with delivery estimates now pushed beyond January 2027 for most models and markets.
