When the next generation BMW 3-series makes its introduction, the convertibles and coupes won’t be called 3-series anymore. BMW will be designating a new mark (The 4-series) for these vehicles to differentiate them so they portray a more upscale image. Also, the designs will be more conservative than the 5, 6, and 7 series. BMW can’t afford to polarize current and potential new customers with too radical of a change.
