Ford and Sony announced today that they have teamed up to offer Sony audio systems across all Ford and Mercury brands starting in 2008. The move is a part of Ford’s strategy to offer signature technology features in its vehicles. In January, Ford and Microsoft announced Ford Sync, a voice-activated in-car communications and entertainment system for mobile phones and digital music players that will be available later this year.
Ford will debut the first vehicle equipped with Sony-branded audio will be unveiled April 4 at the New York Auto Show, which is expected to be the trendy Ford Edge.
