Because of the success of the 3-series performance package sources are telling me that they are contemplating similar packages for the 5-series.
Most people I surveyed think the nicest interior on ANY BMW today, is the one in the 3-series performance version.
I’m hearing that the package won’t actually add any actual performance enhancements just interior upgrades ala the 3-series package (nicer materials, etc.) and newer, more attractive wheels.
The reason is that besides the criticism of the exterior, the biggest reason people end up buying something else is because of their disdain of the interior quality and it’s extremely sterile look.
I’d venture to guess that 9 out of ten people who ended up with an E-class instead bought because they like the interior of the E better.
