So you see the new SL and you salivate over the retractable hardtop.
And you say to yourself...I've got kids, I need a backseat. I can't wait till the new CLK comes out with that fancy roof.
Sorry to disappoint you, but official word has it that the retractable top has been scrapped and it will definitely come with a soft canvas top.
They needed the extra space in the trunk for golf bags is the official reason why they went with cloth.
