This year it was a lot tougher to pick the stinkers...most manufacturers are building extremely competitive products.
But if we had to pick a few...and we HAVE to...it's fun!
The grand prize winner this year is the new pickup from Honda, The Ridgeline!
This could be THE ugliest pickup truck in history!
It looks like it has cladding disease and it's spreading!!!
The funny thing is the automotive press is SO scared to tell the truth (for fear they lose all their free trips/junkets/ads) that they are actually PRAISING this turd!
So it has a trunk in the pickup bed...SO WHAT!
The other question you have to ask yourself is...WHO WANTS A HONDA PICKUP TRUCK?
It's no surprise to us that the forecast is small (25K units) and we believe they should hit the target.
But come on, if you think this thing has legs, then you are fooling yourself.
It's not easy to win this award these days, but we must say Honda has come through here with flying colors!
What else did we hate?
We're still not buying into the the Ford 500, Fusion thing...these cars are doomed to be relegated to the back of the warehouse. Look for BIG changes here as soon as is humanly possible. Based on the success of the 300c and new Charger, we may even see a Ford 49/Lincoln Continental comeback. One can only hope. Ask yourself one question...If the Lincoln Continental 'suicide-door' concept would have rolled off the line the same day as the 300c, which one would have been car of the year and had all the rappers/athletes salivating to get one? Not even a question in our eyes...Nuff said.
Yes, The Subaru B9 has one of the ugliest noses ever but the interior is the best ever for them. It also fills a need they have so we think it will sell well...Remember, there is a certain segment of the population that this brand is their FLAG...and they will buy it.
