I saw the new Mercedes Grand Tourer Vision, aka R-Class, during a film shoot session around the Bunker Hills area of LA Downtown (12PM, Feb 23). It is virtually identical to the one shown in the 2004 Paris show, which has a different tail light design from the original GST concept first shown in 2002. It will be interesting how Mercedes is going to position the car amongst the new M-Class, G-Glass, and the E-Series Wagon.
Btw, for those Porsche Cayenne bashers out there, a black Cayenne was used as the lead camera car (outfitted with a couple of camera cranes/arms protruding from the roof) for this film shoot. You can't tell me there is no use for a Cayenne!!?!

P.S. Anyone who aspires to be an auto spy photographer should just camp out around the Bunker Hills area (Grand Ave area around the Disney Concert Hall)....I believe a large percentage of auto commercials and promotional shoots were done here.
