Porsche Cars North America Reports April U.S. Sales

Porsche Boxster Sales Up 82 Percent

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced April retail sales in the United States totaled 3,065 cars, a decrease of 8 percent compared to April of last year. At the same time, it was the second best April in the company's history, with Boxster sales increasing dramatically and dealers unable to meet the demand for Porsche's new 911 models.
"With spring has come great interest in our sports cars," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "We simply don't have enough cars on hand to fill demand."

In addition, dealers sold 537 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 453 for the same period last year.
