Did you know that a recent report said half of all hybrids sold in June were the Toyota Prius?
Is this data a major indictor that people who are looking for a hybrid really don't care that it does not have the best performance?
We think the answer is yes.
After owning an Accord Hybrid and a E-class diesel I've come to the realization that I would definitely give up some performance (20%?) for 10-15 extra miles per gallon.
And with the Accord or the E, they would still be great performers even at 80% of where they're at now.
How many of you REALLY care that the hybrid version of a vehicle is the best performer in the line?
Or is middle of the road performance and wicked great gas mileage the most important thing to you?
