The look of the Lexus GS 430 is both shocking and energizing. With its steep semifastback sloping roof, dual chrome exhaust pipes, aluminum road wheels and a hunkered-down profile like a leopard ready to pounce, this Lexus clearly is not your boss' car.



Really, it was inevitable that Lexus would jazz up the replacement model for its aging GS line. Designated to carry Lexus' full-size sport car banner, the GS line was as tame as milk in appearance. And even with a reasonably strong engine, it didn't exactly cause anxious moments in competitors' offices.

The Lexus GS 430 features a 4.3-liter, 300-horsepower V-8 that can hit 60 in about six seconds.

No longer. The "Un-Lexus," as I call the GS, turns heads, raises eyebrows and I'm sure is making competitors all around the globe sit up and take notice.
