The tuning specialist Arden Engineering came out with a specially prepped privateer Mini Cooper S which won the British Touring Car Championship 40 years ago. Today, Arden is commemorating that event with an extensively upgraded special edition Mini Equipe which receives a bespoke two-tone leather upholstery theme across the interior along with the dashboard and doors.
From the front to the back the car is embellished with hand-stitched casings and handcrafted stainless steel and chrome elements, plus a newly designed grill. Aside from these superficial upgrades, the car also gets 18×8inch aluminum alloy wheels, weighing 15 pounds each, are placed on each corner, and it also comes with an enhanced ECU that takes advantage of the latest intercooler and completely stainless steel exhaust that is equipped with racing-type catalytic converters. Because of this, the car comes with an extra 40hp (30kW) and 37lb-ft (50Nm) of torque over the regular model.
