According to the latest report from Car and Driver, it appears that the sport version of the Lexus IS C Convertible, unveiled back in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show, will be built and make its official debut in early 2011.

As you may know already, the IS F sedan is powered by a spectacular 5.0-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 416 hp and to push the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds. The IS F convertible is expected to carry the same engine and to make the sprint to 100 km/h in less than, because it will be much lighter. And this is not all: the SC430 Coupe Cabriolet will also have a successor, a “clean sheet of paper” which will reveal new design lines and a soft top, in order to offer more style.
