Believe it or not, but the next Aston Martin might very well be a Toyota iQ. The Aston Martin Cygnet City Car wont be available to the general public, instead it’ll only be offered to existing Aston Martin owners with a DB9, DBS or Vantage.
It’s unclear what exactly it is that Aston Martin is trying to achieve but it’s very possible that this whole mini car business is a gimmick for the supercar producer to appease increasingly stringent emission standards in Europe with a token grocery getter. It’s also entirely possible that the Cygnet city car’s a serious effort by Aston Martin to move away from supercars. But I doubt that.
