BMW releases the pricing for the new Active Hybrid X6. The first BMW hybrid available for the consumers is priced at 102,900 euros in German market, around $147,000 at the current conversion rates. For Europe, the X6 ActiveHybrid will launch in April 2010.

The X6 Hybrid is powered by an unique tw0-mode system, a combination of a V8 petrol engine and an electric drive. The base V8 twin-turbo engine produces 407 horsepower and the two electric motors output 91 hp and 86 hp, respectively, with peak torque values of 192 lb-ft and 206 lb-ft. Top speed in the electric mode is 37 mph, maximum range is 1.6 miles.

The maximum power available for the X6 Hybrid is rated at 480 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. The X6 Hybrid uses a 7-Speed automatic transmission and several EfficientDynamics technologies.
