oyota expects a sales boost to its SUV and crossover lineup with its introduction of the 2010 4Runner, which will be priced similarly to the outgoing 2009 model. Sales were reported to be down 63% for the period ending in August; so understandably, a price increase wasn’t considered. The 4Runner carries a $29,440 base price, including $800 for destination.

If you’re willing to dish out $30,000, Toyota offers five SUVs and crossovers at various levels of equipment (that doesn’t include the Sienna van), four of which many consumers might reasonably cross-shop. At a dealership meeting, Toyota revealed that it plans to make leasing more affordable to get market share.
