More talks are set to take place between Chrysler Group and dealer groups this Thursday and Friday to discuss the issue of reinstatement for rejected dealerships. The second meeting held last Friday had ended at a deadlock but was described by its participants to be more amicable, with the two sides finding some common ground.

General Motors reportedly submitted proposals that rejected dealers should submit appeals to company-sponsored mediation, says Autonews. On the other hand, dealer representatives asked for access to third-party arbitration. Last Friday’s closed meeting at the U.S. Capitol also had Chrysler representatives announcing plans to open 103 new franchises in various parts of the country.
