One of the vehicles that made a mark at the Frankfurt Motor Show was the new Volvo C30 DRIVe. It is powered by a 1.6 liter diesel engine with Start/Stop technology.

It consumes only 3.8 liters of diesel fuel per 100km and it emits only 99 grams of CO2/km. On a single tank (52 liters) of diesel, the car is able to cover a distance of 1380 kilometers. For these reasons, the car is one of the best hatchbacks on the market, according to Peter Ewerstrand, head of CO2-related issues at Volvo Cars.
