A General Motors Co. board meeting will take place in a few days to decide whether to eliminate the Saab brand or to continue with attempts to sell it. There isn’t any dearth of interested buyers though.
In fact, spokeswoman Gunilla Gustavs has confirmed that a total of 27 parties want to be the owner of the Swedish auto brand. She said that GM has been in close contact with several potential buyers but she declined to elaborate on their identities and on how many companies it had approached after a potential sale to Koenigsegg Group AB fell through.
