Do you want to improve fuel economy by up to 5% to 10% by simply driving differently? Then you should check out the “Eco pedal” of the new Infiniti M sedan, which was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

It boasts a tech package that includes the “Eco pedal,” which will be wired into fuel management software and will put up a slight resistance to foot pressure when the car is being driven too aggressively for ideal fuel consumption. John Weiner, Infiniti product planning director, said that the driver can choose to disregard the resistance or turn off the device but when the signal is heeded, a fuel economy improvement of up to 10% has been recorded.
