One of the cooler cars at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, without a doubt, was the Volkswagen New Compact Coupe, affectionately known as the NCC.
Agent001 continuously remarked to me that it was "...the Jetta coupe..." over and over again, but I was not entirely sold. Then, I took a good look at the car -- particularly the rear -- and noticed that its similarities in the back were very close to the spy video we posted of the 2011 Jetta sedan caught during testing.
If you do not recall, take a look at the video here.
Now, a Carscoop friend went ahead and photoshopped a rendering of what he believes a Jetta sedan would look like, obviously using the NCC as a guide.
So, what do you think Spies? Would this be a move in the right direction after the current generation Jetta? Remember who was the first to call a more Audi-looking package ;)...
Carscoop reports:
"When we first saw Volkswagen's New Compact Coupe (NCC) concept car at this month's Detroit Auto Show, two things came to mind: 1) The design study looks too close to production to be just another concept, and 2) If someone added an extra set of doors at the back, we'd get a pretty good idea of what the next generation Jetta will look like.
Well, apparently, the second thought was also shared by our Brazilian friend Eduardo Oliveira from 'Irmaododecio' who went ahead and photoshoped the NCC into the 2011 VW Jetta saloon..."
