The New York Times reports:
"OPEN the Spyker C8 Aileron’s scissor doors, slide into a form-fitting leather bucket seat and turn the key to start your test drive.
Uh, where’s the key?
“You figure out how to start it, and you can steal it,” J. P. Clinging, my Spyker-supplied chaperone for a recent afternoon drive, said with a laugh.
Gee, who knew the ignition key goes into an on-off switch inside the glove box? Or that the start button lies under a red latch on the dashboard?
“The ignition sequence is very much intended to be ‘an event,’” Mr. Clinging said.
So is just about everything related to driving the detail-rich Aileron, which Spyker is aiming at a wider audience than its similar but smaller Laviolette..."
