It looks like slowly but surely, the BMW X3 is making progress and will soon be unveiled. Thanks to less cladding, these new spy photographs, which can be found by clicking "Read Article," are starting to paint an intriguing picture.
The new X3 does not look substantially different from the outgoing model.
In fact, there are a few areas where it looks like the design was an evolution rather than a revolution from the current X3. I guess when you have such a unique looking vehicle, you cannot really get anymore different.
To 00R it looks like a conservative change that will essentially make the X3 larger in all directions while smoothing out the bumps in the current X3's design.
Bimmerpost reports:
We bring you these newest spy photos of upcoming 2011 BMW X3 (F25) spotted for the first time with only tape camouflage. The car is now more fully revealed as we can clearly see the front bumper design, grills, and headlamp shape, as well as the profile shape, side windows, and rear tail light shape. Overall, it appears to be an improvement in looks over the current outgoing X3 model.
Production of the new X3 is to be moved to South Carolina in the newly expanded plant alongside the other X vehicles.
The car itself is built upon a shared platform with the next generation 3-series (F30) and since the X3 will be released before the next generation 3-series it will actually serve as a preview for the 3-series...
