As you may know already, Hyundai unveiled its 2011 Sonata Hybrid last week at the New York Auto Show. The new car uses a new powertrain architecture that is lighter than that of its rivals and holds a charge longer.
According to John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, the new car features a new battery technology that weighs less but also gives the new car 1.7 times the battery charge life of competing hybrid systems.
