Even as Wall Street analysts and voices in the general media continue to question the financial future of General Motors and Ford, a more positive story emerges from examining the product perspective.
In GM’s case, it’s well known that large SUVs have been a prime source of the company’s income stream in years past. As such it’s encouraging to note the warm reception being given to the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. Despite fears last year that rising gas prices would crimp demand for the new generation of full-size SUVs from GM, the 50 percent rise in Tahoe sales so far this year shows the public still favors the breed. To sweeten the news, a handsome proportion of Tahoe purchases have been conquest sales.
