Bernhard Maier replaces Klaus Berning as Porsche’s head of sales and marketing. Maier, a former BMW sales executive, takes over the job that is vacated by Berning at his own request.
According to a spokesman, Berning’s exit was amicable for both parties. Last Saturday, German news magazine Der Spiegel reported that Berning had a falling out with Porsche CEO Michael Macht and key labor representatives. One reason cited for the disagreement was poor vehicle sales.
