Shelby American has announced the specs for the new model, the 2011 Shelby GT350. In a press release, Carroll Shelby said that the Mustang-based model will be sold as a base level, naturally-aspirated street car capable of SCCA competition.

For $7,000 more, the car can be bought with a supercharger. Shelby said that when the GT350 was brought back, there were calls for it to be capable of racing like the Shelby GT. He claims that customers asked for a car that would be permitted to run in SCCA-sanctioned races, which typically do not allow vehicles with an aftermarket supercharger.
