Nowadays, consumers don’t look at power alone when deciding on what car to purchase. More and more consumers also consider fuel economy and emissions level.

In response to these changes, Mercedes-Benz has introduced two new engines that offer improved performance and economy. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine boasts of gains of 38hp and 24% fuel economy. Meanwhile, the V-8 engine raises output by 43hp and fuel economy by 22%. These improvements place the new 3.5-liter V-6 at 306hp/272 pound-feet and the new 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 at 435hp/516 pound-feet.
