Daimler announced further details about the Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC, the latest addition to the S-Class range described as “the most efficient and safest S-Class ever.”

Powered by a V6 diesel engine that generates 258 hp and 620 Nm of torque, the car is enabled to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Because of the AdBlue emission control, the new model produces a combined fuel consumption of only 6.8 l/100km (177 g/km of CO2). It is already in compliance with the emission standards planned for 2014 with the introduction of the EU 6 standard.
