If you were crossing your fingers for a diesel Bentley, you're probably not going to get your wish. Granted, I do not believe that many people even conceived of such a heinous thought.

That seems like taking a perfectly tailored Zegna suit and sewing on a few patches, it just ruins the whole thing.

Additionally, a Bentley executive says that there is a prejudice in the U.S. and China against diesel powerplants. While we disagree, since Audi's TDI program has seen huge success in The States, we may buy the China comment. Especially, when the executive goes on to say that China will be playing a major role in Bentley's future.

That kind of is an emerging theme for any luxury player.


Hopes that a big diesel will appear under the bonnet of a production Bentley are likely to be dashed, according to company bosses.
