General Motors Co. will build a new Cadillac small car at Grand River Assembly in Lansing, bringing 600 new jobs to the plant by adding a second shift, CEO Daniel Akerson announced today.

GM plans to make a $190 million investment to add the new vehicle to its luxury line up, Akerson said, confirming details first reported in The Detroit News Wednesday.
