The latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show that Japanese automakers' market share in China fell 20% in the first nine months of this year, making a serious impact on their development in the country, the Shanghai Morning Post reported Thursday.

The market share of Japanese automakers in China used to be 13.5% higher than that of German automakers, but it already dipped to 5% in the January to September period, sources said.
