Sources in France revealed to Autocar that as part of their recent tie-up, Renault-Nissan’s new 128bhp 1.6-litre turbodiesel engine will be used in Mercedes smaller models. Starting next year, Mercedes’ new A-class and B-class ranges will have this engine. Also as part of their partnership, Renault-Nissan group models will have Stuttgart’s 2.0-litre petrol engine and its range of V6 and V8 units.
