So if there's one thing that automakers are good at, it's making advertisements. Cars are suppose to be the second largest purchase in a household and with that said, there's a lot of convincing to be done.

Taking that into consideration, it seems that some commercials are a bit over the top. In fact, it seems that they could be downright unbelievable.

Take, for  example, General Motors' 2011 Buick Regal spot down below. Unassuming consumers take a look at the interior and exterior of the new car -- without any badging -- and are asked what it seems like to them. Some say there are hints of Jaguar and BMW.

Or how about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata advert that says its paint is better than a Mercedes-Benz CLS?
