By now you have probably seen plenty of spy shots of the upcoming Porsche Carrera, nicknamed the 991. If you have taken a close look, you can tell something is just "off." Well, that's because there are a bunch of adjustments to the next-generation 911.
Take, for instance, the new proportions for the 911. The updated version will be 56mm longer, a 10mm longer wheelbase and be 11mm shorter. Also, look for a 60mm wider rear end.
Additionally, the new 911's motors will receive an overhaul with speculation suggesting the base model will get a 3.4-liter six-cylinder capable of 345 horsepower and the S variant gets equipped with a 3.8-liter powerplant that produces 395 horsepower.
As the 991 will be lighter and more efficient, you can expect its mpg to increase.
