Despite criticism that in-vehicle technology called MyFord Touch is a driver distraction, Ford Motor Co.'s CEO said that it will not remove it but will improve it. CEO Alan Mulally told a group of auto analysts at the Detroit Auto Show that a few years ago, the company took the position that it will be “operating in a wired world.” He said that Ford determined that the best value it could add was to improve the driving experience. Ford thought that the best way to do that would be to keep the hands on the wheel and voice-activate other functions.
